If you are currently in Physical Therapy and are not happy with the treatment you are receiving, if you are not sure why you are doing certain exercises, if you are frustrated or generally feel you are not getting the recovery you need…or expect…

OR

If you have had therapy and feel as if your treatment was cut short, your outcome was not satisfactory or you consider the experience unsuccessful…

You are not alone. Many facilities do what we call a “protocol” treatment. Every person with hip pain does the same exercsies, every person with knee pain gets the same routine. Obviously, not all problems are the same so the therapy should be very specific to each person’s impairments. Also, therapy should be skilled intervention, the therapist should be helping you do the things you can’t do yourself. Therapy is more than sitting on a table, getting heat, ultrasound and electrical stimulation mixed in with your home exercises. So if that is all you are getting, it may explain your lack of progress.

Don’t be fooled by “imposters,” either.  While trainers, massage therapists and chiropractors might offer to do your “therapy,” they DO NOT have the training that physcial therapists have.  And often the result is you fail to make progress and continue to suffer.  You wouldn’t ask your vet to fix your teeth.  So don’t be surprised when you have a bad experience or a poor outcome.

Our practitioners will gladly do a consultation and review your past or present therapy – and see if something is being overlooked. We can do this, AT NO COST, for FREE and without billing your insurance. If this interests you, call our office and mention this website. Our staff will help you from there.
